The Holiday

This was a fun movie. It's a Romantic Comedy that dips into the realm of self analysis, but it does so in a very easy to digest manner.

The basic plot is that two women time-share each other's house over the Christmas break as a way of getting over a recent "breakup". Hollywood ends up in a sleepy Hamlet in England and vice versa.

Lots of laughs, some (subtle) "life lessons" to think about and even a few tears with this movie. The script and acting were very well done. The characters felt "real" for the most part, and the acting enhanced the script.

I think this would be a good "date movie" and would recommend it to anyone interested in this type of movie.

Rating: 8/10

I remember seeing this movie a few years ago, and I'd echo everything you said. It's definitely a fun movie to watch and I'd recommend it.

"You can't just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood."

"What mood is that?"

"Last minute panic.”
